Top 5 Geolocation Games on iOS in Costa Rica: Q3 2021 Performance

During the third quarter of 2021, the geolocation games category on iOS in Costa Rica saw diverse performances among its top five applications. According to Sensor Tower, these apps experienced fluctuating trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Pokémon GO from Niantic, Inc. showed significant activity. Weekly revenue peaked at approximately $3.5K in mid-July, while weekly downloads reached a high of 608 in the same period. However, active users saw a slight decline from 13.3K at the start of the quarter to around 12.3K by the end of September.

Five Nights at Freddy's AR by Illumix, Inc. experienced a notable peak in weekly active users, hitting 146 in mid-July. Despite this, the app’s weekly revenue remained relatively flat, with a brief increase to $62 in mid-August. Downloads also fluctuated, peaking at 110 in mid-July.

Jurassic World Alive from Jam City, Inc. displayed a gradual increase in weekly revenue, reaching $169 in the third week of September. Although downloads were generally low throughout the quarter, active users remained stable, fluctuating between 54 and 98.

The app also experienced a surge in weekly downloads and active users towards the end of the quarter, with downloads spiking to 94 and active users reaching 87 in the last week of September.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer by Spokko sp. z o.o. had a modest start, with weekly revenue peaking at $57 in its launch week in mid-July. However, both downloads and active users showed minimal activity in the subsequent weeks.
